Accessibility & inclusion

- Use 'gently tight' and stop any movement that hurts.
- No one has to close their eyes.
Why it works—and what can go wrong
Why it works
A brief tension-and-release pattern gives the body a concrete route from restless energy to stillness.
Watch out for
- Use before a quiet transition, not as a substitute for needed recess or movement time.
- Do not attach a lesson, reflection, or public share-out afterward.
- Announce the length, honor it, and move directly into the next task.
