There had to be
a better way.
Professional learning, meetings, and classroom community do not need more bingo cards, awkward oversharing, or activities that take longer to explain than to do. Better Than Bingo helps you find something people might actually want to participate in.

The origin story
It started with a very specific problem.
After years of leading classrooms, staff meetings, professional learning, workshops, and conference sessions, Caitlin kept running into the same planning problem: finding an activity that was not cheesy, juvenile, wildly complicated, or already used three times that year.
The search results kept recycling the same handful of ideas. So she started a personal collection—saving the good ones, adapting the almost-good ones, and creating the ones she wished existed. Eventually the obvious question became impossible to ignore: Why isn’t there one good place for this?
Better Than Bingo grew from that question.

The human behind it
Hi, I’m Caitlin Cloyd.
Caitlin is an educator, facilitator, and builder who has spent more than 15 years helping people learn, lead, and use new ideas with confidence. She began as a high school English teacher and has since worked as an assistant principal, digital learning specialist, professional learning leader, AI implementation lead, and leadership development coordinator. She has designed learning for audiences from classroom teachers to district leaders and spoken at ISTE, TCEA, and beyond.
Better Than Bingo sits at the intersection of those experiences: practical structure, respect for the people in the room, and a stubborn belief that adult learning can be useful without being boring—or fun without becoming forced fun.
Why it’s free
Useful ideas should be easy to reach.
Better Than Bingo was built to make engaging activities easier to access without putting every useful resource behind a paywall. The goal is to keep the core site free for educators, facilitators, trainers, and anyone trying to make learning or meetings a little less painful.
