Keep it comfortable and useful.
Make room for everyone
- Passing is fine.
- Participants may write one mock complaint instead of speaking.
- Keep the group small and do not require eye contact or applause.
Watch out for
- Stop any complaint about a real person, student, family, school, policy, or consequential concern.
- Do not turn the break into networking or a discussion.
- Announce the length, honor it, and move directly into the next task.

Give each person no more than thirty seconds for a dramatic but harmless complaint.
