Keep it comfortable and useful.
Make room for everyone
- Shapes may be made with hands, face, or one arm while seated.
- Looking at others is optional.
- Use clapping or a visible start-stop signal for students who cannot access the music cue.
Watch out for
- Do not judge the quality of the dancing or shapes.
- Do not attach a lesson, reflection, or public share-out afterward.
- Announce the length, honor it, and move directly into the next task.

Here’s what to do.

Start the music and let students move in their own spaces.

Stop after fifteen to twenty seconds and call a shape.

Hold the freeze for three seconds.

Repeat for four or five rounds, then sit or stand ready for the next task.
